Today is #Giving Tuesday and we want to thank you for sharing your support and wealth with all the organizations doing ethical work in the non-profit sector.
No surprise, Sierra Institute holds a perspective of healing the environment versus economy divide in our culture.
Through our P-CREW program we build a bridge between rural and urban communities. Offering students opportunities to learn, work and play in our backyard is exciting and the skills they bring home will influence our culture in a positive way for years to come.
In 2018, Sierra Institute will be completing the Dept. of Conservation Watershed Conservation Program Study and offering state agencies valuable recommendations to inform future watershed management initiatives.
Collaborative groups, truly representing the needs of the community, are our ideal partner because of the vision that shapes our landscapes. LAWG and other groups we’ve met through SCALE give us perspective that continues to support our work to fulfill our mission of increasing participation in natural resource decision making and programs.
Thank you for joining us through the #Giving Tuesday Campaign. We appreciate your attention and support throughout 2017 and are excited to keep working on behalf of healthy forests and watersheds, vibrant communities and the young stewards.
Sierra Institute is a 501(c)(3) located in Taylorsville, California. Our Mission is promoting healthy and sustainable forests and watersheds by investing in the well-being of rural communities and strengthening their participation in natural resource decision-making and programs. In early 2018, we’ll be updating our website and ways to engage with our organization. Stay tuned for more in early 2018.
#GivingTuesday is a global giving phenomena.
