Do you think you’d make a good Fellow?
Becoming a Fellow is very challenging task to take on. Fellows need to be flexible, creative and optimistic all while living in a new and isolated environment. The experience of a Fellowship is also a once in a lifetime experience, where you will have the opportunity to have hands on experience in rural community development, learn what it is like to live in an isolated mountain community, and have access to the splendors of the Sierra Nevada and Cascade ranges in your free time.
If you are excited by new places, interested in meeting new types of people, and have a passion to help disadvantaged rural areas succeed and increase their sustainability, please check out the opportunities below!
If you’d like to learn more about what it means to be a Fellow or about the application process, please contact the Sierra Fellows Coordinator. We’re excited to hear from you!
Applications for specific Fellowships are announced in August, and Fellows generally begin their term at the beginning of the following October. Please see below for current Fellowship announcements.
